More than $40,000 was raised at our 2nd Annual SpringForward Celebration!  Many thanks to all members of the Ravenswood School community who helped make this year's SpringForward Event a success beyond our wildest dreams.  With a little bit of tallying and collecting remaining, the SpringForward committee expects to distribute over $40,000 in direct funding, equipment and materials to our school.

Just as important as the dollars raised, our school community came together to pull off an amazing event.  Thank you to everyone who volunteered, organized, wrote, designed, printed, donated, advocated, advertised, helped with class projects, hauled and carried, stored, inspired and encouraged, arranged, rearranged, hosted, ran errands, lent materials, played and sang, emceed, decorated, baked, attended, sold, bid, and purchased.  It was a true team effort, and it wouldn't have been such a giant success without every single person involved.

The evening of March 20th featured good food, cool stuff and lots of fun at the historic DANK Haus, 4740 North Western Avenue.  Fabulous items, in both silent and live auctions, were available including classroom art projects, weekend get-aways, 2nd-home & hotel stays, Cubs ticket packages, BASA programming, teacher babysitting, a sailing adventure, beautiful jewelry, one-of-a-kind art pieces, casual and fine dining restaurant gift certificates, retail gift certificates, spa packages, teacher-made dinners, and the list went on and on!  

SpringForward Impact by the Numbers:

• More than 170 guests attended
• More than 200 items were auctioned
• 12 students performed
• 26 classroom and student art projects raised $1,830
• 8 teacher-sponsored donations raised $2,670
• 8 computers purchased for the Teacher's Computer Initiative Fund
• 3 classroom field trips funded
• 6 Ravenswood girls sponsored for 'Girls on the Run'
• 27 teacher/classroom "wishes" granted
• A grand total of more than $40,000 raised to benefit Ravenswood School and its students
